Want more bang for your buck on your next SEO audit or site review? After two years of reviewing sites that offered everything from dog food to process automation (I still have no idea what that is either), I decided to create this half- blog-post-half-PSA covering some of the Latest Mailing Database most common SEOs. mistakes or missed opportunities that you can start addressing today. I see so many of the same things over and over when reviewing websites that unnecessarily hurt visibility and performance. My hope in handing over the farm is that it will allow you to work with your SEO agency on fun things like developing content hubs to drive serious SEO gains on the topics important to your business and box support of answers. Nonexistent URLs should always be returned in a server response 404and an error page with helpful hints to send your audience on the right path to finding what they're looking for. Not an error page 200or a redirect to an error page. A poor server response can lead to Latest Mailing Database a number of issues. First, it can waste server resources and reduce overall site performance. It can also waste “crawl budget” because Google and Bing will interpret broken links as legitimate links and waste time crawling them again and again. Third, it can split link authority if external sources misspell or use the wrong link. These are three things you want to avoid. Luckily the good folks at Ay ima have created a chrome plugin called Redirect Path which I use frequently. The redirect path helps ensure that your server responds correctly to nonexistent pages. But here's the fun part: if you ignore the configuration of this window, the default result is that every time a user returns to your site, their browser has to request the page's resources again, which slows down the time to loading. Usually you can set this for six to twelve months, especially if your site doesn't change very often. If you regularly change the look of your site, you would want this expiration window to be much shorter. This Moz blog post does a good job of explaining when you should think twice about caching all your site files, while using it to Latest Mailing Database improve site speed. It's usually not hard to do, but the actual implementation will vary depending on your server configuration, so you'll probably need some help from your development team. For most things related to site speed, I use an online tool called Web Page Test which will call for easy site speed gains.
